Nepali Souvenir

There always seems to be something one wishes one had bought on returning home from Nepal, and one time it was a national costume doll, so I rectified this omission on this visit and brought home this delightful couple. I have quite a large collection of dolls from different countries, some of which are over 40 years old. My aunt travelled a great deal when she was younger, and often brought me back a figure in national costume. I now occasionally add a doll (or two) to the collection, but only if I feel they are genuine or interesting, and not just a 'Barbie-in-a-vaguely-national-costume'. From a trip to Canada, 'ö-Dzin brought me a splendid Mountie carved out of wood.
