We went for a late lunch at Telford's Warehouse overlooking the canal basin before heading to the match which kicked off at 5.30pm. All the games started at the same time. At kick off Chester, who were playing Salisbury, were 2 points ahead of Hereford, who played Aldershot today, which meant that Hereford were in the relegation zone.

36 mins - Salisbury score, Chester and Hereford now have the same number of points
58 mins - Chester score, Chester move back two points ahead of Hereford
76 mins - Aldershot equalise, Chester four points ahead of Hereford
86 mins - Hereford score and move to within two points of Chester
88 mins - Salisbury equalise against Chester, Chester and Hereford on the same points
Full time - Chester are relegated as Hereford's goal difference is better by 2 goals.
