The Old Railway Bridge
This old disused railway bridge goes over the Aire and Calder Navigation Canal/River, the line used to run from the main Leeds to York/Selby Lines at Garforth, through Kippax and Allerton Bywater to join a main line from Castleford until the Beeching cuts. The Queen once spent the night on the sidings at Kippax. This is an area where we take the dogs frequently down Lin Dyke to the bridge.
Today was a good mild day, with some rain, but I managed to get a netting cage built over my fruit bushes so here's hoping I get the red and black currants, raspberries and gooseberries before the birds. Mind you knowing my effort the whole thing will have fallen down by tomorrow. :))
