So that's why I decided on a dry run of part of my next Bus adventure. This involved travelling (by bus of course), to Nottingham (via Chesterfield) to check out a possible complication of getting between 2 bus stations across the city centre. Test 1: On foot. I managed to get hopelessly lost, because I was relying partly on a route suggested by Google Maps which seemed unnecessarily long, and partly my own memories of previous visits to Nottingham. Test 2: By free shuttle bus (every 10 minutes). I waited a good 20 minutes, and once underway I was forced to abandon the bus as we tangled with a demo against animal testing. Definitely agley. Still, I eventually worked out which was the best route on foot, and feel reasonably confident that I can do it within the schedule I've set myself on the day.
When and where is the next adventure? Well, probably mid-way though next month, and I'm not revealing my next destination just yet.
Oh, and today's image is the Nottingham and Beeston Canal near the railway station. Looks like an area to explore on another day.
