A chilly and eerie start to the day

Well here's a pic of the 'moorsy' bit further along the road from us when you leave the 'foresty' bit.
The pic makes it look like an arctic wasteland - it was very calm, quiet and only a bit chilly.
We decided we wouldn't try to get cars out after watching several people sliding about like numpties. Auds worked at home and I decided to start my holidays early. My Dreamweaver workbook can wait (I dumped Drupal - he wasn't friendly!)
I cycled to the gym (slowly) along very icy roads until I got to the forest tracks then I rode (surprisingly noisely) over the hard snow scaring every small or large animal within ear shot. Swam and ran. Then cycled back. I won't say how long all this took, but it was more of a day trip, and I didn't pack any sarnies. Back in time to roast a pheasant though (no joke!)
Really quite bloated and need to make friends with the sofa asap. More of a blob than a blip!
