Finding Vivian Maier

We went to see Finding Vivian Maier tonight. At one level hugely inspirational. At another level, the film raised as many questions as answers. Why did she not show more of her work in her lifetime? Where did she get the money to buy all the film (and develop some of it). How could she afford to travel as she did? A must see. Her approach to street photography was great.

My subject today was working his corner, and one solitary greenback cheered him up considerably. His Safeway shopping cart with his entire set of belongings was parked nearby. It made me a little envious that he could live this simply while we fill 4 shipping containers full of stuff in order to move.
