A few friends, the boyfriend and I stumbled across this show of cadet military musical prowess at Castle Esplanade after catching the Wildlife Photography exhibition at the National Museum. Pretty impressive, really! Just one example of the random acts of cultural identity which happen in Edinburgh as the tourists appear.

Overall, had a great day with friends, museums, chicken wings, beer, pipebands, card games, more beer, pakora on the way home and borrowed-cats on arrival home.
