Rhapsody in blue

This picture is of the first roses to open in my garden. :-)
The title being made more apt with the bluebottle fly resting in the sun on the petals, I have never understood why they are called Bluebottles when they look green to me anyone know?
This Rose is called Rhapsody in blue is highly scented and known as an old favorite range.

For a Rose to get into my garden it has to be highly scented most dazzling in colour or amazing petal formation.

I have in the past taken lots of pictures of flowers with my old cameras ,so this time I can't wait to see what I can come up with now I have the Cannon,I hope it's going to be a good summer for us all ..:-) Happy sunday everyone.
