Snowball Fight

My friend who lives on Long Island received 15 inches of snow from Sunday's blizzard. Today's milder temperatures melted the snow just enough to allow it to be compacted. The kids had a blast playing in the snow until the snow started to invade boots and mittens (as it inevitably does). But cookies and hot chocolate with marshmallows made everyone cheery once again.

Last year's photo is one of my all-time favorite photos. This was another visit with the same friends. The kids played dress up again today and it was funny to see how small some of the old favorite costumes were on them :-)
