Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen!

No visit to Copenhagen would be complete without a visit to The Little Mermaid and today she is sitting in the glorious Danish sunshine looking out to sea for her lost Prince. The fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson didn't have a happy ending and neither has she having been beheaded twice, painted various colours and only a few years ago, pushed into the sea.
We, on the other hand, are having a great time and so far have experienced Danish open sandwiches, pastries and lager. Our hotel is on one of the main canals and we can see the bridge from Copenhagen to Malmo. We are also close to the Tivoli Gardens which I'm sure will be on our agenda over the next few days.
