Curtain bore
As our living room curtains are disintegrating before our eyes, I have finally mustered some (limited) enthusiasm to do something about it. (Foolishly, when we moved in 10 years ago, I bought silk curtains for south-facing windows, and of course it disintegrated with the sunlight - we do get sun occasionally). I hate shopping so it took maybe another year after they started to fall apart for me to bite the bullet and go to a place to get some material. Needless to say I didn't like what they had in stock, i.e. the cheap stuff. I've come home with books and swatches. I have found one I like and it would have to be the most expensive. Now I have to trawl the internet to see if I can get it cheaper elsewhere. Then if / when I do get sorted with curtains I suppose the rest of the room will look tatty so next it will be getting paint and so it goes on, boring to read about and even more boring for me to first think about it, and (eventually) do something about it.
Thomas arrives soon, and it is too wet outside to go in the new sandpit. Disappointed Granny!
