Enjoying the parade

Today was the second day of the annual Sandbach Transport Festival, which is always one of the highlights of our year. Sandbach is (or at least was) the home of Fodens trucks, and the transport festival is a great gathering of trucks, cars and other modes of transport. My favourite part of the festival is the parade - after lunch all the assembled vehicles make a very slow tour of the town, and the pass the end of our road. We have lunch and then take up position ready to watch all the vehicles pass by. There's a great atmosphere, with much hooting of horns and waving.

My son LOVES it. And every year he seems to love it even more. This year he stood keenly by the edge of the road and waved at every single vehicle that drove past. And all of the drivers waved back. I think this picture captures the moment perfectly :)
