Ordinary fly?

Just an ordinary fly, but it was the iridescence that caught my eye and won me over with its beauty. It was a windy morning when I ventured into the garden after the early power walk and saw this insect basking and reflecting the light.

We walked down to the Pavilion this afternoon to discuss the reception menu and decorations. A lovely couple run it, and they are totally up for it and very open to all suggestions. We feel very happy with the venue and arrangements. Off to look at Blackpool Town Hall tomorrow.
