Mennonite Pioneers

Had lunch today with two good Mennonite friends; both of them active peace loving pietistic (non-visible) Mennonites - not the horse & buggy variety. Theda & Dawn are married; the price of their partnership has been shunning by significant portions of their immediate families. Theda (left) is a pastor at Denver's First Mennonite Church; her application for licensing was very controversial in some church circles - not so much her congregation but in wider conference circles.
