Good Sports

Up early – but not too early - to get BB to his first ever badminton tournament. Over four hours later we emerged from the sports centre. As a young beginner BB was really taking part for the experience and he enjoyed it. Having been knocked out of the singles competition, he and a friend entered the doubles competition mid-tournament - because he wanted to (even though he had only ever played doubles once before)! Well done to him and all the other competitors.

After a late lunch, I thought the sun was going to come out so we headed to the beach. Luckily we missed the rain which was threatening and the boys kicked a ball along while I wandered admiring the limited views (the haar is still with us). I also checked the cones on the larch tree.
