My new buggy and new words and sounds :-)

We went up to Mothercare this morning, as the new stroller I'd ordered had arrived. We wanted something a bit more compact than Eva's travel system, so decided on the Mothercare 'Mino' stroller. While we were waiting for the sales assistant to fetch it from 'out back', we had great fun trying all the different sunglasses on Eva. There were some other little pink heart shaped ones that in hindsight, I wish we'd bought now. She looked so cute in them, although I'm not sure how long they would have stayed on for.

Eva tested out her new buggy in the house when we got back, then after her sleep, we tested it for real and walked up to Sainsburys with her in it. She seemed to like it in there as her little arms were going ten to the dozen. Mike pointed out a little baby calf running round with it's mom in the field at the end of our road on the walk up, it was so lovely.

Oh this afternoon she did have us amazed .... She's done the 'quack quack' movement with her hand for a while now when I say "duck" or sing her "5 Little Ducks", but she now recognises a duck from pictures in her books and does the hand movement. Also today, I was trying her again with animal noises, and she actually did "mmmmmmmmm" for moo and said "baaaaa" for sheep :-) :-) :-) Also, I was singing "Twinkle Twinkle" to her, and she was copying me doing the twinkle effects with my fingers, but more than that, before I even got to "like a diamond in the sky" she had already made the diamond shape with her squidgy little fingers and held it up, oh my gosh, I could have eaten her. Love love love seeing and hearing all the new things she's picking up. Xxxxxxxx
