Fountains Abbey
Left for the final stage of our journey home today but not before visiting the nearby National Trust place, the details I shall edit tomorrow when I've found the leaflet!
It was the most impressive ruins of any buildings either of us have ever seen. There was so much of it, a huge number of different rooms! They had naturalised so beautifully with wallflowers, lots of moss and lichen and the odd tree growing over the stone walls.
We shall definitely be making another visit at some point in the future, as you could see what kind of a show there was going to be during the summer months. Very very impressive :-)
