The big apple

Great day. we started with a long lazy brunch at a restaurant in the local park, then off downtown to go on a round-Manhattan architectural boat cruise. Took all afternoon and thanks to the brilliant guide and good weather we had a brilliant trip. Learnt a lot about the island and all the development and planning that's gone on since it was founded as a trading station (40 years after the University back home started!).
When we finished, we grabbed a cab and went over to Grand Central Station to see the end of a poetry event which included having a poet write a poem for both L and I. Rather an amazing experience and left us both feeling a bit overcome!
Did a bit of tourist gawping at the station concourse and then headed over to Landmarc for excellent dinner overlooking Columbus Circle, then on to jazz at Lincoln Centre.
Too much choice of stuff to blip, but a great day ...
