The phone call

This morning my phone rang, it was my Mum to say, her pup, Alfie (7month old JUG) had been taken to the vet this morning, she sounded upset when I ask 'why' and replied that he'd been knocked down, while on the Flexi extendable lead!

I won't go into all the details, but after a long wait he's had X-rays and back home with painkillers, and my Mum is waiting to hear from the vet, but says he seems much better than before taking him to the vet.

I have heard more than enough incidents involving those leads to only use one when away from traffic, even then, we've had a few accidents (rope burns, getting tangled, it caught around a tree) ....beginning to think they should actually be banned!
