Toots in Solitude

Deep rooted

As I saw and photographed this I thought of all the times in my life that I tried to rid various gardens and lawns of these long-rooted flowers.
I wonder how many hours of my life I spent all told at this task.
It's not that I don't like them and their oh-so wonderful perfectly formed seed-head just that I always liked my gardens to be free of them.
Worse, though, were buttercups which again, I love as a flower but not invading my gardens with their roots that spread from here to kingdom come.
Well, now I have no garden to tend at all and so it's nae a problem.
