Beautiful Flower

I love spring, the new leaves, flowers, bird songs, new lambs etc. All big loud statements of spring. Flowers in particular are big bold statements - come on flies, bees, insects of all types, there is nectar here in return for reproduction. And yet the humble pine trees have a very understated flower, easy to walk past with no thought. Just a slightly odd shaped pine cone. But this bee knows a good feed when he sees one. Clearly very attractive to him. Just a shame we have no red squirrels to feed on the seeds later in the season.
