Lovely evening but a so so meal at the Jay Raj. Chicken was dry and rice was under cooked,. Very unusual for them. The standard is usually much better than this.

Mick and Coral have just arranged for their trailer tent to be permanently pitched on a camp site in Norfolk. What a wonderful idea. A ready made holiday home and we already have an invite to spend a weekend there some time this year. I look forward to it.

We spent our honeymoon in Norfolk in what I was led to believe was a cottage with a beamed ceiling etc. I had conjured up all sorts of romantic images based on this description but the reality was somewhat different. The Beverly Hill Billys would have turned there nose up at this place and nailing a bit of 2" by 1" timber to the ceiling and painting it black does not a cottage make. Best bit was the walk to the bathroom. You had to pass through the conservatory that ran the entire length of the house. I did it naked on day 1 and decided to draw the curtains rather than frighten the neighbours. Turned out that each curtain was no wider than 12" in width. They were just hanging there for decoration so I had to pull one of them with me as I walked through the conservatory. Luckily 12" was just enough :-)
