Tab Nabs

When I started at sea ten years ago, Tab Nabs were a daily event. A Tab Nab is a pastry or cake made fresh by the cook that morning, for Smoko (morning coffee break). The ability of the cooks, the pressure to do all the cleaning, cooking and provisioning and the loss of Cook Stewards or Second Cooks has made Tab Nabs a rare luxury. Very happy to see our cook make these, and damn fine muffins they were too.
