A lot to say

Smokey was out and about many times today. We lost her twice. We found her both times. (Damn!) As you can see, she has quite a gob on her.

I was on domestic soak-away duty. Tracing the course of the shower drain pipe involved quite a bit of digging. A fair bit of cussing too. I found a U bend about twenty feet out and then a little more run leading to ........ well, nothing. The pipe just ended. No wonder it backs up so easily. A repeat of the solution of the kitchen soak-away dilemma is called for. That's tomorrow sorted.

Industry, however, was annoyingly interrupted by another fatuous demand by HMRC. How poor do you have to be before these vultures leave you alone? Another trying correspondence was necessary. I should thank them for saving me from a case of heatstroke, I suppose.
