No one home

This empty old wasp nest was in an old chook house at a colleagues home in Whakatane. Not sure how old it is but it looks like it has had many a shin dig in its day. I googled it ( as you do when your not intelligent) and apparently it is made from pulped wood or bark which they gnaw, chew up and turn into pulp by mixing it with their saliva.

I could have taken a better shot but I'm a busy man and the Emerson's was calling.
