Chatty man

The elderly gentleman sitting in front of me in the bus had been the only other person waiting at the bus stop when I rolled up.

I had never met him previously, but in the three minutes before the bus arrived I found out that he:

~ thought it was a lovely day;

~ was 83;

~ had had 2 knee replacements at different hospitals;

~ had suffered 2 heart attacks;

~ had never smoked or let a drop of alcohol pass his lips;

~ was from Possilpark;

~ was the 10th of 14 children in his family; and

~ had gone into teaching and ended his career as a headmaster.

The only thing he found out about me was that I also thought it was a lovely day! I didn't mind at all and was pleased to let him chat.
