Bright Light Small Town
A quick stop on the way to work, trying to get some kind of sparkle from town as I approach, not that good an effort but holding the camera still for long periods of time is difficult.
Today was busy in town, people around for the long weekend, ANZAC Day is a public holiday here, and the Blues and Roots festifal just down the road. Events can often lead to some very troublesome people being around, especially when they attract an older crowd, like this one. When middle aged people want to relive their youth, they do so in the worst way possible, it wasn't acceptable to get that drunk and be that abusive when you were 18 and it certianly isn't 30 years later.
Tonights first such problematic person was in his early forties, he was confused as to where he was, trying to order a burger from the bakery instead of the burger bar next door, not realising the shop was full of people, or indeed baked goods, he began swearing and shouting about how bad we were. Nice. Things digressed from here but the audience getting younger and more ridiculous until the security guard started. People like to abuse shop workers and love to inform us that we aren't allowed to touch them and they won't move till we call the police. Security guards are licenced to use reasonable force to restrain and remove them, those guys call the police when they need help to be as unreasonable as the touble makers.
