Reflections
Its been a challenging time in education recently. My thoughts and prayers remain with the families affected by the terrible ferry accident which claimed the lives of so many Korean students and their teachers.
Revelations about the pedophile teacher who worked in positions of responsibility and trust in many international schools left us reeling and has us all reviewing recruitment processes and looking closely at our screening processes.
News of the Leeds teacher, stabbed to death in front of students in her own classroom has been devastating. It is hard to verbalise the stress, anxiety and fear which these events generate... so many people affected by so much tragedy. Teachers, students and parents lives devastated and onlookers left feeling helpless. What is the world coming to?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.
