Yesterdays rain, todays adventure

Heavy rain overnight fell as snow on the mountains, there was a lot more snow than this when I went to bed but the last thing on my mind was taking out the camera. Glad there was some clear sky when night came, the camera was promptly set up and I felt more awake, not much more though.

Tken from the balcony, theres a few buildings and a bit of light polloution but the best bit is seeing some snow on the ski field which will open in 6 or 7 weeks. Lots of facebook posts of the snow, here and around, were greeted with great excitment by everyone, particularly the marketing departments at NZ Ski and Cardrona.

Tried to head in town to see what shots were available on the other side of town but between the wind and forgetting to take the SD card out, that was just a nice walk instead. Back to the fireside to research more camera stuff.
