Schoenoprasum

Otherwise known as the simple Chive, which is a member of the Alliun family.
I took a similar photograph this time last year, but I couldn't resist doing it again as I really like the contrast between the purple of the flower head and the green grass behind. Spent most of the morning in the garden along with my wife, Anne (http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/4285684). Towards the end of the morning the heavens opened and there was instant flooding in the garden.
