The Face Of The Tree

This beautiful old ghost gum tree has many faces, this is just one of them, it reminds me of The Scream by Edvard Munch!

Its very old and quite possibly sick. This year as it shed its bark at the end of summer many dimples and holes were revealed which are a bit unusual, usually they are fairly smooth all over.

Perhaps this face is reflecting how the tree feels, sort of aaaarghhhh!!
