Can I eat them?

These were hidden from view behind a storage unit in the grounds of the village telephone exchange. I was trying to get a sneaky shot over the exchange fence of the vacant vicarage garden but it was too high. I turned on my heel and spotted these little chaps. Can anyone identify them? There are enough to make a feast!
