And so the big day dawned. We got the sign-off to put the last piece of software live today - not very long before before the 10:00 implementation slot. Surely, even developments at lastminute.com can't have been this rushed? And then we found out that there was just one more "go/no-go" meeting. At 10:30. So we changed the implementation slot to 12:00. And got the "go" decision. And put the stuff live.

All of which meant that I didn't have time to worry about the footie final.
Which we lost.
Bugger.
I blame the manager. I don't see how he can keep his job. The fans expect more.

Still, football's a stupid game. I'm off to play tennis soon. A much more sensible game.
And an early start tomorrow to get in to work to check that everything is working as planned. At 6:00. A.M. In the morning.
