Horse Chestnut - Inside Out
The Park Manager at Weston Park kindly allowed me free access around the grounds at lunchtime today. He mentioned that the bluebells were starting to bloom along Tong Drive so I drove down to take a look. While there I got chatting with the Hall's butler who live in the lodge at the end of the drive. He reckoned the bluebells still needed a few more days to be at there peak, at which time the hillside will be a mass of blue.
He did however mention how much he enjoyed standing at the base of a magnificent horse chestnut tree along the drive. I decided to take a look and I immediately saw what he meant.
