Apple blossom time

All kinds of trees are sporting blossoms now and the island looks lovely. Apples are particularly cherished here. We have an apple festival in September which showcases some of the 350 varieties of apples grown on this small island (only 80 square miles).

And talking of small worlds, yesterday we responded to an ad by someone giving away moving boxes. Today we went to pick up the boxes and found that they were friends of friends - and they too have just moved to Salt Spring Island. They are also here, in part, due to Sydney Banks and the Three Principles. We are looking forward to getting to know them better.
