Heading for the sun

An early start to leave NYC and head for Miami. Bit of a bumpy ride but lovely to be up above the clouds and in the sun.
Arrived to 89degrees (F!), like walking into a convector oven! No sign of the hotel transfer bus so had another tussle with bank/cash and got a cab. Despite the heat outside, the hotel and conference centre are all very chilly!!
Excellent first speaker, then rather poor plenary before going to reception where I bumped into a few people I haven't seen for years, then dinner with other Scots here. Delicious ...
Now to bed...the first session starts at 8am!
