It's May Day tomorrow! It's one of those days when you feel to need to use an exclamation mark to end every sentence! The poster celebrates the mantra of "Peace, Labor, May" and wishes everyone "a happy occasion of Spring and Work" - yes, with an exclamation!

Banned in Russia until the Revolution in 1917, May 1 subsequently became a big event on the communist calendar as "International Workers' Day". Since 1992, it's officially called the "Day of Spring and Labor" in Russia.

Interestingly, the origins of May Day lie in the USA. The date was chosen "by the Socialists and Communists of the Second International" to commemorate the Haymarket affair that occurred in Chicago on May 4, 1886.

More from the parade tomorrow. Parade, Tomorrow, Blip!
