Colourful but dead

I fished this little chap put of the pool today, I haven't seen such a colourful lizard around here, but now there's one less I suppose. Either he couldn't find his way back to the shallow end, or more likely, the chlorine got him.
Sorry I couldn't do a closer photo, even though I was pretty sure he was dead I was afraid to get nearer!
