Vibrant Vespid

More striking in large ("L").

This is a cuckoo bee (Nomada sp., but there are many species, and they differ by minute details so I dare not attempt a specific name...); they're wonderfully bright and beautiful. I went for the compound eye here...

p.s. It does have six legs, but its front pair are held up in front of its thorax, which is apparently a common habit...
