Another Important Day at the Office

Murphy's been promoted. He's now special advisor to the National Learners' Forum. He's been working with them today, meeting the European Commission, NIACE, the International Council for Adult Education, and discussing the funding of the forum.

He arrived at the office right on time in his taxi this morning very relaxed and ready for the day ahead.

His first task was to update the learners' forum database, inputting the 427 new members details. He's really pleased with their progress and hopes that the European Commission and UNESCO will be too. They are joining us at the International Conference we're holding here in 2 weeks.

We had some fabulous news today and it also seems that we have some regal interest in our work too and that's all to the good, but will leave that chat for another day. Tonight Murph is away home to prepare our Patrons meeting tomorrow, he's got 40 patrons coming to the office to build support for Adult Learners' Week and to help support the national and local learners' forums. The patrons want to ensure that they raise the profile of the Forum's work across the country and work with them to do the right things.
