Our garden pond...waiting for visitors

Over the past few days, Mr MC has spent some considerable time cleaning up our little garden pond : you can see the kitchen sieve that he used, amongst the bluebells!.
When we first came her some 16 years ago, the pond had a healthy population of frogs, but over the years they have disappeared - no doubt ousted by the newts.

This evening there was no one around, well just a couple of pond skaters earlier on. Not even a cat could be enticed to sit at the water's edge (I do envy those blip friends who's felines are eager to pose) . Missy scoffed the tempting treats I'd put out and scuttled back indoors... meanwhile the other two were nowhere to be seen...

Uploading was a bit quicker this evening so I might even manage to blip a bit more frequently!
