This is it
That which I was burbling on about yesterday.
Weigela middendorffiana.
It's a bit of bugger. I sit here, regularly, cussing about the fact that you can hardly buy a damthing not imprinted "Made in China".
Two of our most recent purchases, in the plant line have been this one ...
"A compact plant native to parts of Japan and Northern China, Weigela middendorffiana has bell-shaped, yellow flowers with dark-orange markings in late spring and early summer. These flowers stand out well against the lush, dark green leaves."
and this one ...
Buddleja alternifolia
"This buddleia, found wild in Chinese hedgerows, is different from the more familiar varieties. The branches are more slender, arching or weeping almost to the ground, with leaves in early summer. Soft lilac-purple or pink fragrant flowers in dense clusters stud the full length of the previous year's stems."
BUGGER!!!
BTW. The coin = 10P virtually identical diameter to $0.25.
