Night Visitor
I had planned a different blip today but when we got back to our lodgings tonight an unexpected thing happened. We were sitting outside watching the sunset and just as it became dark I saw a figure on the roof of my room. I thought it was a cat until it flapped its wings and then swooped down over the swimming pool. It sat for a long time on the back of the sun lounger near us and despite the fact 5 people were there it showed no signs of being afraid. It flew about and landed on the roof and the chairs and wall by the pool for over an hour. As I write this, 5 hours later, it is back sitting on the lounger by the pool. We think it is not a really wild owl but rather one that had escaped from a nature reserve or the like. Apparently it was first seen a couple of days ago. I'm quite concerned because if it is a tame owl it might not survive if it does not know how to hunt. Not sure what to do for the best.
