Half a Cat is Better Than None

It was hot. At one point before noon, the thermometer showed 90 degrees in the shade. The cat seemed to be torn between her usual place in the sun and trying to catch a breeze on the stairs.

Note that for these parts, this is unseasonable heat. That, coupled with the drought, makes for an interesting spring and summer.
