Waterfall and train to Kandy
Holy crap were meant to be on holiday but we get up earlier travelling than what we do back home. It was 6am and already were on the road to Sri Lanka's highest waterfall called "Bambarakanda Falls". When we arrived it looked absolutely amazing and was fast flowing after last nights downpour. I then drove us up and through all the tea plantations before boarding a train from Bandarawela to Peradeniya. It cost us £15 but that was including our motorbike that was starting to hurt our arses.
The train journey is said to be one of the nicest on earth and it really didn't disappoint. It took us 6 hours to reach Kandy and after getting the motorbike off the train we were on our way. I said to Alison that couldn't have gone any smoother when...........we run out of bloody fuel. The men at the train station had siphoned out all the petrol and so we got about a 1km down the road before it cut out. It could have been worse a massive rain storm could have appeared at this exact time! Oh wait it did and by the time we got fuel and found somewhere to stay we were absolutely soaked.
It had been a long day so it was curry then bed. Shattered.
