Happy May Day!!!
Bank holiday in Finland, the great finnish labour day. Carnivals, drinking (heavily even), joy of the spring and having a paid day off, speaches of the parties and labours...
To be honest, the May Day (Vappu in finnish) is not a day to celebrate for our family mostly, than it is a day to rest for us - and this year all the family is at home, nicely so. We slept late and just take it easy. We were supposed to visit my mum, but as she had not good night sleep last night, thanks to her flat neighbours partying, we will not do so. Instead I have made some planning to renovate our front yard garden - and of course made some Vappulunch for us - in the meantime as our teens were visiting their friends.
Cosy, sweet day at home! Some tv-movies - just now a swedish movie Jerusalem - and sitting for a moment on the sofa, which I seldom do, I admit.
The new Vappuballoon-dog is our only indoor decoration this year. So I blipped it today.
I have to say I am so grateful that a friend of mine showed me this blipworld some 2 years ago. So many hobby-mates, friends even and kind chatting with you, all the ideas - the warmness of you all. You make this community so great, do you know?!
