Peaceful on the Lake

We went walking on the ice today on Lake Pyhäjärvi. After a fortnight of proper frost it was possible, as the temperature was still -12°C.

It was surprising how the sunlight had a warmish orange hue through the clouds. It seemed that only the dog-owners were out and about as usual, otherwise the whiteness felt spacious and comfortably quiet. Just like a Christmas holiday should.
