Canterbury Cathedral

If you've been following our history lesson dates over the last couple of days, today we went back to 1170 and the martyrdom of Thomas Beckett, Archbishop of Canterbury. It was good to visit Canterbury Cathedral as I've never been before.

We finished early afternoon and had a little wander round the shops but then decided, as the weather was wet and miserable, we would return to the cottage and have a relaxing afternoon. Yes, "rest", it is in my vocabulary! ;-) I am certainly feeling much better now but haven't managed to throw the bug/virus off completely, hope it doesn't come back.
