Looking Down

Usually as I walk through the temple grounds I am looking up at the tall golden temple stupas. Today I decided the ground dwelling creatures deserved a little attention too. This temple has a parade of elephants and a flock of roosters. I've seen other temples with a zeal of zebras and a tower of giraffes. I don't know why groups of these animals are chosen, but they seem to be common throughout many of the temples. (Just for the record, I didn't make up the names for the groups of animals...my google research did!)
