Another shieldbug
It was drizzling throughout my walk at the nature reserve this afternoon so I spent time searching vegetation at the side of the rides for insects. I found, and photographed, craneflies, hoverflies, beetles and a number of true bugs, including this one. This is the shieldbug Dolycoris baccarum. It used to be known as the Sloe Bug, but now the approved common name seems to be Hairy Shieldbug - a good name if you check out those legs.
